Imagination & Creativity Work
Making room for what does not exist yet.
Imagination allows us to move beyond what has already happened.
It gives us the ability to revisit an experience, create new associations, experiment with possibilities, and encounter parts of ourselves that may not appear through ordinary conversation.
Imagination & Creativity Work creates a space where curiosity, play, storytelling, and creative exploration can become part of the therapeutic process.
You do not need to consider yourself creative or artistic. The purpose is not to produce something beautiful. It is simply to discover what becomes possible when imagination is given room.
Why Imagination?
Memory and imagination are closely connected.
When we remember an experience, we do not simply retrieve a perfect recording of the past. We reconstruct, interpret, associate, and give meaning to what we remember.
Imagination allows us to explore this process intentionally.
A familiar memory might become a story.
A story might become an image.
An image might lead to a question.
And a question may reveal something we had not previously considered.
What We May Explore
Depending on your interests, our work may include:
Creative writing
Storytelling
Poetry
Drawing or visual expression
Imagining alternative perspectives
Working with dreams
Revisiting memories through creative exercises
Improvising stories from memory and fantasy
Exploring future possibilities
Small creative experiments or adventures
There is no expectation of artistic ability and no correct outcome.
Creating Without Needing an Answer
Creative work gives us permission to encounter an experience without immediately explaining it.
Sometimes something meaningful appears through a feeling, a sentence, an image, a story, a dream, or an unexpected association.
We can hold those moments in our awareness without needing to decide what they mean.
