Individual Sessions
A space to notice, explore, and not understand.
Individual sessions offer a private, collaborative space to explore your relationship with language, memory, emotion, imagination, and our everyday relational experience.
Rather than beginning with the assumption that something needs to be fixed, our work starts with storytelling. Since the way we tell our stories is the key to how we experience them, we will continue telling the stories even when we stop believing in them. It is rather the “how” of our storytelling that will inform our collaborative adventure.
What We Explore
Every person's experience is different and sessions are shaped around what feels meaningful to you. Our conversations may explore personal memories, changing relationships, emotional patterns, transitions, identity, grief work, and above all - experiences that are difficult to put into words.
There will be room for wild flights of phantasy, writing, movement, dance, somatic exploration, and other forms of creative expression, including silence.
The intention is not to arrive at an immediate explanation. Sometimes the most meaningful work begins simply by noticing slightly differently.
What a Session May Include
Sessions may involve:
Telling your story while paying attention to how it is remembered and told.
Exploring recurring memories or patterns
Noticing emotional and bodily responses
Working with imagination and creative expression
Reflecting on relationships and life transitions
Breath
Touch work (Inspired by Rosen Bodywork)
What to Expect
You do not need to know what you want to talk about.
We can begin with a memory, a question, a concern, an ordinary experience, or simply something you have been noticing lately.
Over time, our work will deepen into an experience of uninterrupted meditation.
