REMEMBER YOURSELF

Memory & Focus Training

Learning to work with what you have got

Memory and attention are not static abilities. They are influenced by our environments, routines, emotions, expectations, stresses, skills, etc etc.

Memory & Focus Training provides an individualized space to explore these abilities and systems and develop practical approaches for working with them.

The goal is not necessarily to sweat over work sheets and remember by heart. The goal is to together define and draft the goals that would allow your cognitive machinery to delight in learning. No dry drilling and grade-performing is going to be your measuring stick any more.

Understanding Your Memory

We begin by becoming curious about how your memory works in daily life.

When do you remember easily?

When does remembering become difficult?

What helps you focus—and what seems to pull your attention elsewhere?

Rather than approaching these questions only as problems to solve, we use them to understand your individual patterns.

From there, we can experiment with strategies that complement the ways you naturally learn, organize information, and remember.

What We May Work With

Our work may include:

  • Attention and concentration practices

  • Adoration of Art

  • Wonder

  • Memory-supporting routines

  • Personal reminder systems

  • Story-based memory techniques

  • Movement and dance

  • Imaginary narratives

  • Organization of information

  • Short story collection

  • Awareness

The methods used depend on your dreams, needs, preferences, and available materials.

Beyond Remembering More

Memory support is not simply about increasing the amount of information we can retain.

Sometimes it means deciding what deserves to be remembered.

Sometimes it means creating systems so that our minds do not have to carry everything.

And sometimes it means becoming more comfortable with forgetting.

The intention is to help memory become something you can work with, rather than something you are constantly working against.
